JOB SUMMARY
Perform various duties required for the upkeep and repair of laundry- related equipment and computer related equipment. Knowledge of Electrical and or Mechanical Engineering. Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment following established checklist. May perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written; Ability to deal effectively with others.
Ability to physically carry out the duties of the position; Ability to repair, maintain and troubleshoot laundry-related equipment.
Ability to organize work, Ability to bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, lift, carry, push, pull and stoop. Ability to stand on concrete floors for up to 10 hours daily.
JOB DUTIES
Repair, maintain and troubleshoot machinery and preventative maintenance on laundry equipment; Physical plant maintenance; Perform preventative maintenance following established checklist.
Responsible for securing and maintaining chemical barrels, making sure all chemical inventory is sufficiently stocked and ready for use.
Follow instructions, including for use of personal protective equipment.
Follow safety regulations and procedures; Manually lower, turn over and raise laundry carts for repair in a safe manner; Maintain conveyor belts and equipment related to the conveyor system; Perform other related duties as assigned.
Start up machines by 7am on the 5 work days.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Perform a variety of physical tasks associated with the work of a Facilities Maintenance Worker, including sitting, standing with movement, walking, bending/stooping, crawling, climbing, reaching above shoulder, reaching below shoulder, reaching at shoulder, crouching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling; repetitive hand and foot motions; hearing and vision abilities in accordance with the physical task analysis. Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 100 pounds and turn over laundry carts weighing up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
HOURS OF WORK
5 days per week based on 40 hours work week. Work hours are between 6am to 9pm. Days and times of work will be agreed upon. On call duties during the plant operation hours except on vacation days. Should on call times occur, those times will be adjusted by deductions of work hours in the following work week or weeks.
PAY
$40,000 PER YEAR
ONE WEEK VACATION AFTER FIRST ANNUAL YEAR COMPLETED,

TWO WEEKS VACATION AFTER SECOND YEAR COMPLETED,

THREE WEEKS VACATION AFTER THIRD YEAR COMPLETED,

FOUR WEEKS VACATION AFTER FOUR YEARS COMPLETED,
JANUARY TO JANUARY
FOUR WEEKS OFF AT ANY ONE TIME WILL BE THE MAXIMUM TIME OFF. ALL VACATION DAYS MUST BE REQUESTED AND APPROVED AT LEAST 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
5 DAYS SICK LEAVE IS ALLOWED IN ONE YEAR. MUST HAVE A DOCTOR’S EXCUSE AFTER 2 DAYS OUT.
RAISES
RAISES WILL BE BASED ON YEARLY PERFORMANCE. RAISE RANGES WILL BE FROM 2% TO 5% OF BASE SALARY. PERIODIC PERFORMANCE REVIEWS WILL BE TAKEN; EVERY QUARTER OR SEMI-ANNUALLY AT A MINIMUM.
